Howard Frye

Howard is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, USA. He is Noosa’s longest serving chiropractor, having commenced his practice in 1979. Howard runs a wellness-based family practice, utilising both manual & soft tissue techniques to suit all age groups. He is a member of the CAA (Chiropractors Association of Australia) and is a registered DVA (Department of Veterans Affairs) provider.

Malcolm Atkins

Malcolm graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 2003 with a Bachelor of Clinical Science / Bachelor of Chiropractic Science. After graduating he worked in Melbourne as a chiropractor, honing and developing his techniques over 10 years. In 2013, Malcolm joined the Mary Street Wellness team, providing chiropractic and applied kinesiology to Noosa residents and visitors alike. Visit Malcolm's Website.

Spinal Decompression & Laser Therapy

Spinal Decompression Therapy is the latest proven non-surgical treatment for chronic neck or low back pain caused by degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, bulging / slipped / herniated discs and a number of outher conditions. Laser Therapy is especially effective for sporting injuries such as tennis elbow and other ligament / tendon injuries.

Vaughn Thatenhurst

Vaughn graduated Life Chiropractic College West in 1996. Throughout his over 20 years of experience he has worked all over the world, from Tasmania to Asia, finally settling in Noosa. Vaughn uses a broad range of therapies including Spinal Decompression and Deep Tissue Laser Therapy - both effective for chronic conditions such as Low Back Pain and Neck Pain. Dr Althea Page-Carruth

Althea combines considerable experience in podiatric foot and leg medicine with a holistic approach to each individual. As a podiatrist for 38 years she has lead clinical podiatry practice in biomechanics, lower leg child development, research and education. As leader of the Orthotics and Biomechanics Team at the University of Westminster and then as Head of the School of Podiatry in New Zealand she has focused on bringing sound knowledge to all aspects of podiatric medicine. Her doctorate was particularly focused on diabetic health and how people manage chronic health issues in regional and rural areas.

Ambrose McKinnery

Ambrose's many years of experience as a psychologist in both private practice and corporate settings has allowed him to better assist his patients with their mental health issues. Gaining his degree in 1986 from Sydney University, his further qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a Graduate Certificate in Neurolinguistic Programming. Ambrose looks forward to working with his clients to help them live richer and fuller lives.

Kate Fitzpatrick

Born in Ireland, Kate practiced as a RN (Registered Nurse) for over 15 years in both public and private hospital settings. In 2008 she registered as a psychologist and worked in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). More recently, Kate completed her Master's degree in Health Psychology. Kate is keenly interested in the personal development of her clients and focuses on positive theraputic outcomes.

Ellie Broerson

Ellie has been a unique part of the Mary Street Wellness team for 5 years now - providing Psychology and Clinical Social Work services to her clients. With over 15 years experience in the Government and Community sector, Ellie is passionate about helping clients to improve their Mental Health and relationships. Her therapy approches include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotional Release Counselling, and many more. Visit Ellie's website.

Sally-Anne Livock

Sally's client-centric approach, using specific tailored education and advice with the aim of achieving realistic and sustainable goals, has been helping clients for over 25 years. Her areas of special interest include Eating Disorders, Bowel Conditions (IBS, FODMAP, Surgeries) as well as Diabetes and Weight Management. Sally looks forward to working with clients to help achieve their health goals.


Our in-house massage therapists offer a wide variety of techniques, ranging from gentle relaxation to therapeutic, remedial and sports massage. Rebates are available from most health funds and sessions range from one to two hours, as required.

David Wareing

David brings 16 years of massage experience with intuitive flair and a multitude of techniques including craniosacral therapy. Health fund rebates available.

Belinda O'Brien

Belinda has been a Remedial Massage Therapist for 12 years, working with both men and women of all ages. Her diploma training included Remedial, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Pointing and Accupressure. Belinda tailors her sessions to the individual - working on the physical mechanics and emotions with the body, bringing it back to balance.
